Yin Yoga has its own methodology, its own philosophical roots and a profoundly different effect on the tissues, nervous system and energy body than any dynamic practice. Taught with real depth it is genuinely transformative — taught without it, little more than longer held floor poses.
Over 14 days in Ubud, this training runs inside our 200 Hour program. You train alongside that cohort from day one — sharing morning practice, meals and study — and complete your certification on day 14 as they continue into their final week. It's a fully standalone Yoga Alliance Continuing Education qualification in its own right.
Is This Training For You?
01
Earn 100 Continuing Education hours toward your Yoga Alliance renewal and a genuine specialization most generalist teachers don't have.
02
You want to understand what's actually happening in the fascia, meridians and nervous system during a long hold — at a level no studio class reaches.
03
If life has been moving too fast, this training gives stillness real structure — tools for your nervous system that stay with you long after Bali.
The Teaching Team
The Inner Yoga teaching team are specialists, not generalists. Each teacher works exclusively in their own subject — bringing years of dedicated experience to every session.
The Curriculum
The curriculum builds progressively — physical foundations in week one, energetic and philosophical layers in week two. Teaching practice runs throughout, so your voice is already developing by the end.
Week One
The first week establishes your physical and methodological foundation — basic anatomy, then Paul Grilley's 14/10/7 model (14 skeletal segments, 10 myofascial groups, 7 pose archetypes), which teaches you to see bodies clearly and teach from what you observe rather than a fixed ideal. You'll work through the foundational Yin postures, prop use and adjustment skills, and go into fascia science — how fascia stores not just physical tension but emotional patterns.
Week Two
Week two moves into Traditional Chinese Medicine — the 12 primary meridians, Five Element Theory, and how to sequence a Yin class around a meridian pathway to influence mood and physical health. Myofascial release work builds on week one's fascia science, and voice activation and teaching practice throughout the week bring it together — by the end you can plan, sequence and teach a complete Yin class with real understanding of the person in front of you.
A Typical Day
Days begin with morning Vinyasa practice, move through the core Yin, anatomy and TCM curriculum, and close with a 90-minute evening Yin practice. Rest time is built into every day.
Graduate Outcomes
By the end of the training you will be able to:
Sequence, theme and teach a complete 60 minute Yin Yoga class with confidence
Apply Paul Grilley's 14/10/7 model to read bodies and teach functionally
Understand fascia science and its role in storing emotional and physical patterns
Apply TCM meridian theory and Five Element Theory to your sequencing
Guide students through long holds with verbal precision that maintains stillness
Offer appropriate hands-on adjustments with sensitivity and awareness
Teach with your own authentic voice, developed through voice activation work
You'll leave with a fully standalone Yoga Alliance YACEP certificate — 100 hours toward your renewal — and the ongoing support of the Inner Yoga team.
The Training Community
The 100 Hour Yin runs within our 200 Hour program, so from the opening circle you join the full group of 18 students, sharing Yin, TCM and anatomy sessions, meals and the energy of immersive learning together — alongside teachers and practitioners at every stage of their journey.
Because the 200 Hour students also attend Vinyasa-specific sessions, your schedule has more breathing room — time to study, relax by the pool or explore Ubud. By day fifteen, when the 200 Hour group continues into its final week, you'll have built connections that last well beyond Bali.
